Settings: Pipelines

In this article, I’ll show you how to create a new Pipeline and its individual Stages.

 

To get started, click Settings at the bottom left corner of your left menu and then click Pipelines on the new left menu that appears.

 

And let’s start a new Pipeline - click the Create new Pipeline button at the top right.

 

 

This opens a pop-up. Enter a name for your new Pipeline.

 

In this example, we're creating a Pipeline with the name "Test." The second field you see is the Stage name. Most Pipelines will have several Stages.

 

Click Add Stage to create a new Stage and give it a name. The first Stage for most new prospects will likely be as a Lead.

 

 

A second Stage could be when leads book a phone call, and we might call that one Booking Call Stage. Taking it one step further, after you've had a call with the lead, you’ll need a new Stage. Let's name our next Stage, Attended Call Stage. Add as many Stages as needed to fit your sales process.

 

This is what our Test Pipeline looks like with the three sample Stages added:

 

 

The arrows on the left side of the individual Stage fields can be used to change the order of Stages. Simply click up or down to move a Stage one space higher or lower.

 

The green funnel and pie icons let you decide which individual Stages should appear in the funnel and pie charts on your Dashboard.

 

You can remove a Stage from your Pipeline by clicking the red trash icon to the right.

 

 

At the bottom, you'll see two options. Enable these toggles if you’d like the Pipeline you're creating to be visible in funnel and pie charts.

 

 

Lastly, you’ll need to click Save to create your new Pipeline.

 

 

Your Pipeline will now appear on the Pipelines tab of your Settings page. If you need to make changes later, just click the pencil icon to edit your Pipeline. You can also delete an entire Pipeline by clicking the trash icon here.

 

Pipelines are an essential part of managing your prospects and keeping track of where they are in your sales process!
